Lead a Marriage BattlePlan Small Group In Your Community

People deserve the truth... they can win in their marriage! Join us on our mission to help them communicate better and connect deeper.

As a MBP Group ("Platoon") Leader, you’ll help people say “we're finally on the same page!” so communication will never be a barrier to enjoying the marriage they've always wanted.

WHO CAN BE A MBP GROUP LEADER?

Anyone, including you!

Each year, we partner with many driven, passionate people who enhance the quality of marriages in their communities.

They aren’t marriage experts or 'gurus'—just normal people with a desire to help others. Brian & Jamie handle all the training and our simple "Platoon Leader Instructions" hold you by the hand every step of the way.

HOW DOES LEADING MBP ACTUALLY WORK?

We're with ya... This marriage thing can be tricky. But volunteering to lead a MBP group is simple.

Just begin by scheduling your meeting time, location, and format. Then, invite up to 10 couples to join (per group). Over eight weekly sessions, you’ll lead your members through discussions and key concepts corresponding to the video lessons. Your job isn’t to have all the answers—it’s to provide information, support, and hope. This is how you start to make a real difference.

LEAD YOUR GROUP HOWEVER YOU WANT!

Can’t meet in-person? Don't have a lot of time? No sweat! Choose the group format that's the best fit for you!

Centralized

(Live in-person)

You and your group members meet in person for 60-90 minutes to watch the video lessons, fill in your battle plans, and discuss.

Decentralized

(All virtual online)

You and your group members will watch the video lessons on your own, then meet online for 45 minutes to discuss the video lessons and fill in your battle plans.

Hybrid

(Virtual and Live)

You and your group members will watch the video lessons on your own, then meet in person for 45 minutes to discuss the video lessons and fill in your battle plans.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does it cost to lead a group?
Leading a Marriage BattlePlan group is FREE! We’ll hand you everything you need to lead confidently in a simple-to-use digital format. Though leading a group is free for the group leader, members will need to purchase a Marriage BattlePlan membership in order to attend the group.
Can I lead a group online OR offline?
Yes! By leading a virtual MBP group, you can deliver guidance and hope to your group members—from anywhere with an internet connection. In a virtual group, your members will watch the video lessons on their own before joining an online video chat for discussion with you and the rest of the group.
Are there any requirements I must meet to lead a MBP group?
Anyone can facilitate a MBP group! You don’t need to be a marriage 'expert,' have a degree in counseling, or even have been in a MBP group before. All you need to lead your group is a location or video conferencing software and the free digital Platoon Leader's Guide, which you’ll use to effortlessly guide discussions for your members.
Do group leaders get financially compensated?
Group leaders are volunteers with a heart for helping others learn how to win in their marriage. Though group leaders aren't financially compensated, they do receive exclusive content & bonuses as they're released and exclusive access to events... and more!
Will I receive training from the MBP Team?
Conducting MBP groups is simple, so in-depth training isn’t necessary. Also, in addition to your free digital Platoon Leader's Guide, you’ll have email access to get any and all of your remaining questions answered. You're never alone as a group leader. Helping transform marriages takes a team and we’ll be by your side the entire time.
How long is a class and how long does the program last?
The Marriage BattlePlan has 8 core lessons. Each group meeting usually lasts between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on the format you use. In general, classes meet once a week for each lesson until complete.
What are the different class formats?
There are 3 options:

1) Decentralized (aka: Virtual Class)
- Time: 45 minutes - Location: Online (video conferencing tool, such as Zoom, required) - Watch Videos: On your own.
- Meet Online: For discussion and fellowship.

2) Hybrid
- Time: 45 minutes - Location: Anywhere - Watch Videos: On your own. - Meet Live: For discussion and fellowship.

3) Centralized (in-person meeting)
- Time: 90 minutes. - Location: Anywhere with AV equipment setup. - Watch Videos: In class together live. - Meet Live: For discussion and fellowship.
Where can I facilitate the in-person group meetings?
It's your choice! Many choose to meet in the group leader's home, at church, or anywhere else with AV setup and a good internet connection.
Can someone else help me lead?
Absolutely! Anyone can be a co-leader, including your spouse or anyone with an interest to help lead.
How many people can I have in my group?
Your group should usually have between 6 and 10 married couples, though it's perfectly fine if it's smaller. You can make your group exclusive and only invite people you know, or you can open it to the public. Any group size larger than about 10 couples should be split into 2 or more groups in order to maintain a personal connection among group members and maximize group cohesion.
How do people join my group?
New group members will simply register through the main registration link at: www.MarriageBattlePlan.com. Each new couple will need to either email you or show you their registration receipt as proof of enrollment prior to joining and participating in your group.
Can I lead a group even if I've never been through MBP in the past?
Yes, absolutely! And we encourage it. We all have to start somewhere. Many group leaders actually go through the course for the first time as they lead it. Leading a MBP group is just like leading a small group, where you learn the material alongside your group as you facilitate the meeting.
What will group members need?
Group members need just 3 simple things:
- A blank notebook of paper for taking notes at each meeting.
- A print out of the one-page Marriage BattlePlan framework.
- An open heart toward their spouse and a willingness to do whatever it takes to make their marriage prosper.
How much does the Marriage BattlePlan cost for members to enroll?
The retail cost of a Marriage BattlePlan membership is only $129 per couple (one-time) for unlimited, lifetime access.
